This is an outstanding gem of a game. Loaded with all kinds of neat stuff, Even Art Bell is heard from. The multi-dimensional wall-walking is incredible and the graphics are just stunning. The general plot gets a creative A+ from me. I have Quake 4, Doom 3, Wolfenstein, all the Call of Duties and etc., and this is my favorite. Runs great on my early ’08′ Macbook Pro 2.5 Ghz Core 2 duo. I’m a little puzzled that the price is less than other similar games like my others. Prey is worth a premium. I think/hope there will be a sequel….

Loved the game-good graphics, nice innovations, nice weapons, ran smoothly on Mac. I like the option of turning off cursing.

But let’s look at this from another perspective: the representation of Native Americans is just silly. It’s as full of new-age stereotypes as you can get. It’s supposed to be Cherokee, but Grandfather Obi-Wan “You must embrace your heritage”-Kenobi hangs out in saloons (where he continues to preach “you must embrace your heritage!”) wearing full-blown 1800s regalia. Until he is killed by the aliens-in the middle of a “you must embrace your heritage” sermon. And the “Cherokee homelands” is a rocky desert covered in petroglyphs. Oh, and your girlfriend in the game prays to “Uniqua”, which-I swear I am not making this up-is a character from “The Bakyardigans” kid’s show. Really. And don’t get me started on the “HEY-ya-ya-ya” chants and drums while Tommy “Spirit walks” with his hawk “spirit animal.” Okay, it’s a cool game, but did they get their ideas about Indians from geocities new-age websites?

I have just a normal 2007 macbook, with no upgrades at all, and it ran pretty well.

I am using Aspyr’sPrey with a MacPro and OS 10.5.2. Unfortunately, the game is unresponsive to keyboard commands which pretty much makes the game useless as soon as you progress a level or two. Their technical support has been disappointing. I don’t know if they have had other reports of this nature or whether the problem is limited to just my computer or computers of my type.

I haven’t played an FPS in a while and when I had some free time I downloaded the trial and what sold me was the multiplayer which you can play for free. The demo had 2 MP maps but the full version has 12. Most of the MP maps are 5 star. The only downside is finding a multiplayer game online is discouraging but findable. Usually there are a few people playing but when there is not I join a server then in a minute or two people start joining. Makes you think people are ot playing but they will join soon. the solo mission is really good. the demo of the solo mission has a lot of cut scenes and the levels seem small but once you get past that point on the full version there are some very clever map puzzles to figure out. It could be a bit longer on the SP.
