I used to own a stainless steel Walther PPK/S but got rid of all of my handguns years ago. Still, I was wanting a BB gun for plinking and target shooting. When I found this one I just had to have it. It is made in Japan and licensed by Walther themselves. The slide and much of the body is made of metal and gives the gun a solid feel, not quite the same as the real gun but close enough.
The BBs are loaded into a spring-loaded “clip” in the handle of the gun and holds about 15 BBs. Once the first one is loaded by pulling the slide back you can fire the whole clip as fast as you can pull the trigger! Surprisingly the gun has a little bit of a kick to it when fired. It shoots at a relatively low velocity (300 feet per second) which is fine for my needs.
I read that this model is used by the NRA for handgun safety training. Since it is not a toy and has the look and feel of a real handgun I think that it is a good choice for that. The safety lever is near the handle, behind the trigger, instead of on the slide (as it is on the .380 cal. version) and it functions well. I wish that the handle had more weight to it in order to give it a more balanced feel, but all-in-all I am very happy with it!
