I bought these for Christmas and we took them snorkeling and I found the fins hurt my feet because they are made of hard plastic. I bought my husband a set that was a little more expensive and it had soft rubber around the feet and his were much better. I liked the mask and the snorkel and it also came with some gloves that made it like you have webbed hands and those worked better then the fins! I am either going to have to get new fins or get some soft material on the top part of my foot. Here is what I bought my husband it it was better. Had I known I would have spent the extra $20 and got the better one. U.S. Divers Sideview Mask, Paradise Dry Snorkel, Travel Trek Fins, Strap & Bag Package

I bought these for use with a class that will be going snorkeling in Panama in a couple weeks. I chose this set under recommendation by a friend and former navy diver who knows about all things human-in-water. The items arrived promptly, in great condition, everything fit me well, (sm/med flippers and I am a size 8), and mask and snorkel worked great when I tested everything out in a pool. I was also able to dive (with instruction) down to the bottom of the pool and come back up with out any leakage in the mask and the dry snorkel function worked.

Also, I believe that beginners need to wear neoprene socks with their flippers. I purchased a pair from amazon and they made all the difference. If someone has been snorkeling or diving for many years, they have calluses that protect their feet from blistering, while beginners don’t. If this is your first set, definitely get a pair of neoprene socks (i.e. here Body Glove Flipper Slipper Neoprene Sock (what I got))

Only Con is that when swimming, my ankles feel a bit over extended, sort of like a ballet foot but I am not sure if it is the way that *I* am swimming or if the flippers are made of a material that is slightly too stiff for my level. But when I get back from my trip, I will probably update this so everyone knows.

I really do like the product despite the one con, and think that it was worth it to me.

Great set for the money, I think the fins are a bit stiff, the snorkel is great (comes with a whistle built in), and the mask is really a very high quality mask. The Mask and snorkel come from Promate an off name but their equipment reviews always seem high. First dive with the mask I had slight leakage but my second day I had none, I think I had a misadjustment on the first day that I couldn’t straighten out.

Overall I think a set similar to this from my dive shop would have cost close to double this amount. Very happy with it and would highly recommend.

I bought this set for my vacation in order to avoid renting not-so-great quality equipment. I am extremely happy with the mask and the snorkel. After my first swim, I got a hang of it and rarely had to readjust it. Dry snorkel lives up to its claims. Several times when I got covered by a wave or when dove down to explore something, the tube closed off on time, preventing me from breathing in a mouthful of salty water. My friend bought a set for a similar price with similar claims but a different brand and she definitely had more trouble with her mask and snorkel.

I am slightly disappointed by the fins. The fins fit well and were comfortable, however after returning from my trip I noticed that the rubber strap that holds the fins was cracked on one of my fins and there was a small tear on the other one. I think I took good care of my equipment. I rinsed it every time after leaving the ocean and I don’t think I abused this set or used it in any unusual manner. Maybe it’s just one defective set or maybe those little cracks and tears are not important, however considering that I only used them 8 or 9 times that was a bit of a concern for me, especially that the strap bears a lot of pressure. To avoid losing a fin in the ocean in the future, I decided to return this set, but I loved the mask, snorkel and the comfort of the fins enough to purchase it again and give it another try.

Me gusto mucho el equipo, sobretodo la careta es de lo mejor, lo no tan bueno es que las aletas son un poco cortas pero se compensa con las grietas que permiten buen deslizamiento en el agua.
