I’ve misplaced my original Garand bayonet, and wanted one to display. I’ve read reviews on other reproduction replacements, and had mixed emotions about ordering this one, as the others had complaints about improper fit, flimsy and ill-fitting scales, etc. This one was more expensive than some others I’ve seen advertised, but am happy to report that this one seems to be about as good as the original. It snapped onto my Garand like it was made for it, fits snugly, and the scales fit properly and are tight. It looks like a brand-new one, with the proper stampings, and other than the fact it IS brand-new, one would be hard-pressed to show it is not an original. The quality seems to be excellent.

I have a collection of M-1 Garand bayonets including those manufactured in European countries. This is a replica that have not seen battle. What is the purpose of collecting and paying good money for it when you’re displaying a Chinese made replica. I’m getting tired of people calling replicas as collectors items like the WWII German helmet made in India or the Japanese helmet that is made in China. This is not for serious collector and this flood of replicas is making the joy of collecting into a joke. My first M1 Garand was given to me by my grandfather with the original accessories that he used in the Pacific campaign. That is a collectors items and not this replica. Collect an original which is still available on yard sales and surplus store.
