This is my first memory foam mattress purchase. I have purchased memory foam toppers for my family before but never a full mattress. I did a little bit of online research before making this purchase but i don’t have much to compare my purchase to. Mostly i have tried my friend’s tempurpedic and another friend’s one bought at Costco.
I have lower back pain and i think sleeping on my old futon mattress of 7 years was giving me more issues. I decided to give memory foam a try. Overall i found that this is one of the lesser costing items. The mattress is on the firmer side (which i like). Overall you end up getting what you paid for. I am happy with my purchase and for the price i paid I don’t think i can really expect too much.

I’d love to try out my new mattress. But after more than three weeks of airing out, it still smells strongly of foam chemicals.
Be aware that if you’re at all sensitive, like me, you’ll want to budget quite a long time for the smell to go away.

Way too firm for a side sleeper.It feels like I would imagine a sack of laundry would be like sleeping on. And this thing is not 10 inches thick. It does smell, but it dissipates to a tolerable level. Here’s an idea for the geniuses that make these things-let them air out a couple days before you ship them.
All said-I miss my innerspring with a cheap 4 inch topper. Too bad I already jettisoned it, as I would definitely return this unit.
These might work great for a lot of people, but I would highly reccomend buying a mattress in person.

Like most others, I read plenty of product reviews before deciding on a mattress to buy. This mattress seemed as though I would get the most product for my value. I discovered the first issue 24 hours after opening and unrolling my package. The 10″ mattress is only 8″ thick. I waited a few more days and measured again, in case the mattress was not completely expanded. Still 8″ thick. I checked online to see if I could have been accidentally sent the incorrect mattress, but Sarah Peyton does not even offer an 8″ mattress. Along the side of the mattress I was able to feel the different layers. There is the 2.5″ of memory foam on top and the 4.5″ of high density foam at the bottom. However, the “3″ core foam structure” is only 1″ thick. Since it was still a nice mattress and I’ve been dying for a memory foam bed, I decided to just let it go and sleep on it.
Within a month I noticed a small dip where I usually sleep. I am a small woman, 5′5″ tall and 125 lbs. There is no logical reason why a bed would not be able to hold up to my weight. I started rotating between sides and sleeping in the middle of the bed. I’ve now had my bed for only 3 months and there is a permanent indentation in the middle of the bed. Even if I start out sleeping on the side of the bed, by morning I’m in the dip in the middle.
This is still by far the most comfortable bed I’ve ever owned. I have a chronic pain disorder that can make sleeping a difficult task. I knew that a memory foam mattress would not “cure” my problems as it seems to have magically done for others, but at least I can usually get a halfway decent night of sleep. In the future I will be buying another memory foam mattress, but not one from Sarah Peyton.

This mattress arrived quickly and expanded to the stated size in one day. We left it alone for a second day just so it could air out as much as possible. It did smell quite a bit while expanding so take appropriate countermeasures.
My wife and I both like it and we’ve had it for about 2 months now. It isn’t too hot either.
Overall we’re very pleased with it.
