Menurut pengakuan berbagai agency di seluruh dunia, harga sebuah domain name termahal di dunia dijual oleh seseorang bernama Chris Clark, yang memiliki domain pizza.com (yang dibelinya seharga US$20 pada tahun 1994) dan dijual seharga US $2.600.000!!
Agak lucu juga kalau mengingat, nama yang dibeli tersebut sifatnya 'maya' alias bukan barang nyata.

This is the most expensive domain name sale publicly reported during 2005.
The most expensive domain sale in 2004 was for creditcards.com.
