not what I expected does not remove as much dust as I had anticipated. It does remove odors very well. I have not had it long enough to evaluate the cost. I causes my smoke alarm to sound if I have the fan on.

Wow I have had this now for over 4 months and I just love it.I have it in the bedroom and it has just become white noise for us. It is not overly loud and does a great job with the dust. I use to have a terriable time with the dust in the bedroom now there is none. I reccomed this produc. You may need two if you have a large room to use it in though. I am going to purchase another one for the living room.

I purchased this item specifically because I have two cats, and even with regular litter box maintenance, I’m pretty conscious of the smell. I hate being one of THOSE people, so something had to be done. After trying a couple other cheaper products, I came across this one, and all I can say is that it works perfectly.
I use it in combination with one of those Glade plug-ins, and I swear it’s like the cats were never here. Oh sure, I can’t let the litter box go for forever either, but this product has by far taken care of the normal daily smell of the litter box.
I highly recommend it to any fellow pet lovers, and while you’re at it, I’d suggest getting one of these too Glade PlugIns Scented Oil Fan with 2 Extra Outlets, Clean Linen , 1 kit
Finally, I will just add that this product is far from silent, but it’s certainly no louder than you would expect out of a normal house fan.

Bought one of these to help with allergies after trying TWO sharper image purifiers that quit in less than a year. This one is not as silent but does the job just as well. It fell over and started to rattle but once we jostled it a little it was OK. The dust it picks up is evident when you clean the unit but bottom line - the sniffling and sneezing (with a bird in the room at that) has virtually stopped.

I haven’t really noticed a huge difference, but the air does feel more peaceful with the ionizer around. Its always good to have negative ions flowing around. Its not as loud as some purifiers I’ve seen, but its loud enough in a soothing sort of way that it provides nice white noise to help me sleep. Subtle but helpful. Its compact and unobtrusive. All in all I think it was a decent purchase, though nothing quite high-end. I really wish it would suck up more pet hair but I’ll have to save up for something like that sometime.
