Overall:
Happy with purchase.
I bought this with three remote transmitters.
+++
All transmitters are working fine after two weeks of heavy rain. I wrapped the transmitters in some grocery bags.
Range is outstanding. Transmitters are scattered to far corners of the property, still I can take the base unit into any room in the house and receive all three signals.
RF atomic clock is working.
Unit looks nice, was inexpensive.

If you want multiple trasmitters working you have to be very careful about the setup. The batteries have to be installed in each transmitter at exactly the right time. It took four attempts before I got it working right. This could be made a lot easier. I can see how other poeple might have had trouble. Still, all the plusses outweigh this one ding.

Mine worked fine for 5 days, then the batteries went dead in the recieving unit. Replaced them again and 5 days later the batteries were dead again. Tried moving the outdoor sensor far enough from the house to get a honest reading and this unit just won’t work if the transmitter is more than about 20 ft from the reciever.

The good:
1) Price : Got it in a sale for around 17 bucks for a Celsius and Fahrenheit thermometer
2) Interior Thermometer : Has a stand, so that you can place on the table or have a slot for hanging on the wall.
3) Accessories : Got a couple of screws which are good to hang the exterior thermometer.
4) Working : You get the max and min of the temperature, which is pretty much nearer to the actual temperature, though you find a lot of fluctuations in the temperature. Wait for some time till the proper average is being calculated and displayed.
5) Of course, children would enjoy watching the temperature and having fun.
The bad:
1) Not soooo accurate – you get a 90% accurate one for the money you pay.
2) Packaging needs to be improved.
3) A window thermometer with this kind of set up for the same cost would have been a better bet.
However, if you want to be environment friendly and do not want over heat/ over cool, just buy this and have fun.

La Crosse Technology WS-9080U-IT Wireless Temperature Station Bought this unit because the sensor on my older LaCrosse that indicated exact temp compared to multiple mercury thermometers died so I decided to upgrade. This unit reads 2.5 degrees high. I contacted LaCrosse tech support who stated accuracy is + or – 2.0 degrees. Never mind that mind is 2.5 degrees high and LaCrosse does not publish their accuracy anywhere that I can find. I’ll just subtract 2.5 degrees from that shown on the unit.

This is a pretty basic unit. It works as advertised and is a good value. I like the way it keeps track of the daily min/max temps – each day they are automatically reset. This means you can glance at it in the morning to see how cold it was the night before, or in the evening to find out how hot it got during the day. You don’t have to remember to push any buttons to reset the min/max.
